Abstract

The Constitution of the State of Bosnia and Herzegovina is an integral part of the Dayton Peace Agreement which was signed on 14 December 1995 in Paris. The text of the Constitution is contained in Annex 4 of the Peace Agreement. Bosnia and Herzegovina is a decentralised state which consists of two entities, the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Republika Srpska as well as the Condominium of BrĨko. The two entities have their own Constitutions. For administrative purposes the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina is further divided into ten cantons.
