Zusammenfassung

In der Auseinandersetzung mit sexuellen Internetaktivitäten war sowohl der fachliche als auch der öffentliche Diskurs lange Zeit stark polarisiert: Pauschal-alarmierenden Annahmen, die sexuelle Nutzungsformen weitgehend mit pathologischen und kriminellen Phänomenen gleichsetzten und deren Vertreter somit zum Kampf gegen Cybersexsucht, Cyberprostitution, virtuelle Belästigung und Online-Kinderpornografie aufforderten, standen undifferenziert-beschwichtigende Stimmen gegenüber, die Online-Sexualität marginalisierten.
