Zusammenfassung

Anton Schweighofer hat mit seiner Grundrisstypologie des „Zentralraumes“ eine wesentliche Bereicherung zum Spektrum des sozialen Wohnbaus geleistet. In diesem Projekt ist den meisten Räumen eine großzügige Loggia vorgelagert, die als gestaltbestimmende „Loggiawand“ ein südländisches Element nach Wien importiert. Die über fünf Geschosse reichenden Eternit-Hohlprofile bewirken eine für den Wohnbau unübliche Monumentalisierung (Kolossalordnung).
