Harvard and Wiener’s University Training, 1906–1913

Abstract

Leo Wiener decided not to send his son to Harvard College in order to spare him the strain of taking the Harvard entrance examinations and of the subsequent embarrassment of being “an eleven-year-old at Harvard”. But Harvard University was the center of Norbert’s educational gyrations, and the dominant factor in his advanced training.
