Abstract
Let L(λ) be a monic operator polynomial with factorization
where L1(λ) and L2(λ) are monic operator polynomials. In this chapter, we address the problem of stability of such factorizations, that is, when any operator polynomial sufficiently close to L(λ) admits a factorization with factors as close to L2(λ) and L1(λ), respectively, as we wish. Here the closeness of monic operator polynomials is understood as closeness of their respective coefficients.
