Abstract
The 12th International Symposium on Neurosecretion (Sept. 20–22, 1995) was held at the University of Kiel, where Wolfgang Bargmann (1906–1978) chaired the Department of Anatomy. Along with Ernst Scharrer and Berta Scharrer, Bargmann demonstrated the existence of hormone-producing neurons and established the study of neurosecretion. This monograph presents the proceedings of the symposium.
