Abstract
So far we have concentrated mainly on subgroup growth type, a rough-and-ready estimate for the rate of growth of a n (G). In the last three chapters of the book, we take a closer look at the numbers a n (G) themselves. Of course, the detailed arithmetical and asymptotic properties of this sequence will depend on the nature of the groups G under consideration, as will the methods appropriate to studying them.
