Abstract

Twelve children with IBD (5 Crohn’s disease and 7 Ulcerative colitis) were studied with the 99mTc labelled antigranulocyte Mab BW 250/183 (early and late planar scans, early SPET). The SPET study offered higher sensitivity than both early and late planar studies. Endoscopic and scintigraphic results were concordant in 17/25 and 17 /28 segments respectively in the Crohn and ulcerative colitis group of pts. On an individual pt. basis all Crohn pts were true +ve, while in the ulcerative colitis group 3 were true+ve, 1 false-ve and 1 false +ve.
