Summary
The impacts of the cultivation of “genetically modified” (GM) herbicide tolerant oilseed rape (Brassica napus) on agriculture and the environment are being studied. This paper reports results of monitoring sites for up to 3 years where commercial seed crops and variety trials had been grown. The studies include evaluations of the impacts of the agricultural management of the GM crop as well as the direct effects of the release of the GM crop on the environment.
