Abstract

Glucocorticoids (GC) are potent immunosuppressive agents that have been successfully used in the management of several disorders associated with heightened immunity including transplant rejection, autoimmune diseases and inflammatory disorders [1]. Lymphocytes and macrophages, as primary effectors of cellular and humoral immune responses, are the main targets of their immunoregulatory action [210].
