Abstract
The aim of this chapter is to introduce by example the study of the manner in which the Galois structure on various motivic objects from arithmetic influence the special values of associated L-functions. In these examples our motivic object will be K 2 of rings of algebraic integers in a Galois extension, whose Galois structure influences the value of the associated Artin L-function at s =-1. Our examples will be a family of totally real number fields given by quaternion extensions of the rationals.
