Abstract
This book develops systematically a self-contained theory of interpolation for rational matrix functions and includes samples of applications to modern systems theory and control. Both homogeneous and nonhomogeneous interpolation problems, with and without additional constraints are treated. In each case conditions for the existence of a solution and explicit formulas and procedures are presented.
