  • Chapter
General Inequalities 5

Abstract

Let T be a continuous t-norm, i.e., T is a continuous two-place function from [0,1] x[0,l] into [0,1] such that for all x, y, z in [0,1] we have:

  1. (i)

    T(x,1) = x;

  2. (ii)

    T(x,y) ≤ T(y,z); whenever y ≤ z;

  3. (iii)

    T(x,y) = T(y,x);

  4. (iv)

    T(x,T(y,z)) = T(T(x,y),z)
