Abstract

During the past 25 years there has been a rapid increase in interest and information on the existence of tumor markers [1]. The marker could be an antigen [2], like carcinoembryonic antigen [3], an enzyme like phosphatase [4], a hormone like ACTH [5] or a defined organic compound.
