Abstract

In our earlier article ‘Where is Immunology Taking Us?’ [1] we introduced the nonimmunologist to the then current understanding of a model of the immune system ans its principal cellular components, lymphocytes, macrophages/monocytes, polymorphonuclear neutrophils, eosinophiles, basophiles, and mast cells. In this follow-up, seven years later, we hope to build on this previously established base.
