Optimal health-care of the population of every country is dependent on numerous prerequisites, these consisting, in the first instance, of the best possible practical survey of the general health of the whole population, as only on reliable and comprehensive statistics can all further considerations be based. However, this essential information is absent or only partly available for the greater part of the world population.
