Abstract

I deem it as great honour, the importance of which I deeply realize, to present before you my observations on the impact of researches carried out in India on the control and treatment of cholera. In all humility this honour has come to a person who had devoted the best years of his life in an Institute which is celebrating the 75th year of its colourful existence. I would like to offer my sincere and profound thanks to the Haffkine Institute and World Health Organization, responsible for choosing me to deliver the keynote address.
