Abstract

Tetanus prevails in every part of the world and takes a heavy toll of 50,000 every year all over the world. It is known by various names: ‘Hausa’ (Nigeria) ‘Dhanurvata’ (India), ‘Gazaz’ (Arab Countries), ‘Po-shian-fong’ (China), ‘Mai de arco’ (Mexico), ‘Disease of Seventh Day’ (Algeria) [1].
