Abstract

In the recent years, the phenomenon of chemical oscillations has become a subject of general interest because such reactions act as internal clock in the biochemistry of living organisms. Chemical oscillations often reveal a direct analogy to electric switching (flip-flop oscillation), and their occurence has initiated a vigorous advancement of the theories of thermodynamics far from equilibrium (1,4).
