Zusammenfassung

In unseren früheren Ausführungen wurde deutlich, dass wir Aussagen dann als solche theoretischer Art betrachten, wenn sie mindestens eine erklärende Funktion haben und in logischen Beziehungen zu andern, ebenfalls als theoretisch geltenden Aussagen stehen. Diese Ansicht wird nicht von allen Autoren dieser Publikation geteilt. So sind auch nichterklärende Beschreibungen von Erscheinungen im Bereiche des Sportes und auch Instrumente zu deren Erfassung — nicht aber zu deren Erklärung — oftmals als theoretische Grundlagen gedacht. Obschon sie dies nicht sind, sind sie nicht ohne Bedeutung für Theorie, Forschung und Praxis. Die Instrumente zur Erfassung von Phänomenen sind vor allem in methodischer Hinsicht relevant.
