Zusammenfassung
Vielleicht gehört es zum menschlichen Wesen wie Atem und Bewußtsein, die Welt gedanklich nur in Ordnungen zu begreifen — als Abbild eigener Ordnung, die sich — vordergründig — dem Entropiegesetz entgegen entwickelt hat. Darum das Bestreben, durch die Vielfalt der Erscheinungen hindurch auf die Einheit eines wirkenden Prinzips schauen zu können! Die abendländische Kultur beginnt im Grunde mit dieser Frage nach einer Einheit in der Natur — eine Frage, die durch alle Jahrhunderte seitdem ihre Antwort sucht, in Religion oder durch Wissenschaft.
