Zusammenfassung
Die „unsichtbare Hand des Markts“ verteilt Ressourcen optimal, jedenfalls in der Theorie. In der Wirklichkeit der Massenproduktion aber ist diese Theorie grau. Der Markt ist eine Ursache dafür, daß menschliche Arbeit und natürliche Ressourcen verschwendet werden. Die Überproduktion landet auf Mülldeponien oder wird als „Schnäppchen“ und ähnliches entsorgt. Diese Ineffizienz hat nicht nur ökologisch und sozial ihren Preis, sie wird auch vom Verbraucher mitfinanziert.
