Zusammenfassung
Bei der Approximation transzendenter Funktionen in der Nähe einer Singularität mit Hilfe von Polynomen oder polynomialen Splines treten große Koeffizienten auf. Zur Erreichung hoher relativer Genauigkeiten sind außerdem hohe Grade erforderlich. Beides sind für die numerische Behandlung unerwünschte Erscheinungen.
