Zusammenfassung
In einer Arbeit über rationale T-Approximation (Werner [18]) wurde gezeigt, welche Bedeutung der Begriff der Normalität für die numerische Behandlung des rationalen T-Approximationsproblems besitzt. In zahlreichen neueren Untersuchungen ist der Begriff der rationalen T-Approximation verallgemeinert worden, so von Brosowski, Cheney, Collatz, Goldstein, Krabs, Loeb, Meinardus, Newman, Shapiro. In einer unlängst erschienenen Arbeit fassen Cheney und Loeb [6] den Begriff der Normalität so, daß er auch auf verallgemeinerte rationale Funktionen anwendbar ist. Es gelingt den beiden Autoren, alle für (eigentliche) rationale Funktionen gültigen Stetigkeitsaussagen (vgl. Werner [17] und die dort zitierte Literatur) auf den Fall verallgemeinerter rationaler Funktionen auszudehnen. In diesem Vortrag soll nachgewiesen werden, daß die Verallgemeinerung auch für die Konvergenzuntersuchungen im Zusammenhang mit der Diskretisierung möglich ist (Werner [18], § 4). Für Polynome findet man ähnliche Überlegungen bei Rice [14] und Rivlin-Cheney [16].
