Abstract
For the eigenvalue problems Ax = λ(j)Bjx j=1,...,r we propose a method to obtain lower bounds for the eigenvalues. The paper is related to a method of WEINSTEIN [4], where he published a construction of lower bounds for eigenvalues by intermediate problems.
