Summary
A kinetic treatment is given for the case of a membrane, built up by two-state subunits and in which an autocatalytic reaction can take place. A method for obtaining the oscillation frequency from kinetic membrane parameters is briefly outlined, starting from the condition that chemical and transport oscillations arise specifically from the autocatalytic chemical reaction scheme.
