Abstract

The lower bound theorem of the theory of plasticity offers a suitable basis for the design and analysis of the reinforced or prestressed concrete structures. Its application requires a safe stress field for the given loading which describes one possible internal action. The objective of the thesis is the development of the necessary fundamentals underlying the computer aided construction of stress fields for reinforced concrete walls.
