Abstract
In the recovery period after long lasting severe exercise the circulatory system has mainly to cope with the fluid loss, which jeopardizes the cardiovascular filling volume. Under those circumstances the adjustments of the cardiovascular system must comprise not only the control of the blood volume but also the control of the size of the total vascular bed.
