Abstract
Adaptation to environmental changes is a fundamental condition of each form of life. The degree to which adaptive modifications can be evoked, and to what extent they can induce a better management of the environment’s demands has been shown particulary well in recent studies on muscle tissue [14, 26, 27, 32, 36–38, 42].
