Abstract

For X a compact metrizable space Brown, Fillmore and I introduced in [2] the study of a certain class of C*-algebra extensions of K(H) by C(X), where K(H) is the C*-algebra of compact operators on the complex separable Hilbert space H. In this note we want to consider some questions concerning the fine analytical structure of such extensions. The partial answers seem sufficient to suggest that further study would be worthwhile.
