Model Seismology

  • Chapter

Part of the book series: Wissenschaft und Kultur ((WK,volume 27))

Abstract

As emphasized earlier (Chapter 1), seismology works on a broad front: it draws upon observations in nature, laboratory investigations and theoretical research. In general, the seismological problems are so difficult that close cooperation between all these disciplines is necessary in order to arrive at reliable results.
