Etwa von Mitte Oktober bis in den März kann man allabendlich in Berlin ein eindrucksvolles Naturschauspiel beobachten: Tausende und Abertausende von Vögeln ziehen in dichten Schwärmen über die Stadt. Es sind Saatkrähen, etwa 60 000 an der Zahl, die bei Einbruch der Dunkelheit ihrem gemeinsamen Schlafplatz entgegenfliegen.
