Der Begriff „Reaktionen an Makromolekülen“ beinhaltet in umfassendem Sinne die Veränderung eines vorliegenden Makromoleküls durch eine chemische Reaktion. Das Ziel derartiger Reaktionen besteht in der Modifizierung vorhandener Makromoleküle in Richtung verbesserter oder spezieller Eigenschaften.
