Abstract

Relying on the classification of the finite 3-homogeneous permutation groups, we easily prove in this chapter that there are no non-trivial flag-transitive Steiner 6-designs. In addition, we state in this context an interesting conjecture of P. J. Cameron and C. E. Praeger [29, Conj. 1.2] on block-transitive 6-designs.
