Abstract
Smart cities generate vast amounts of data from various sources, such as IoT devices, sensors, and monitoring systems. Open data platforms provide an opportunity for governments, researchers, and private organizations to access and utilize this data for various purposes. However, ensuring data privacy is a critical concern in the context of smart cities and open data platforms. This article investigates the challenges and privacy issues related to open data platforms in Spain, reviews existing platforms that can be used for smart city data, and proposes an adaptation of one such platform to guarantee data security and privacy. The results demonstrate the feasibility of the proposed approach and its potential to enhance data privacy in open data platforms.
