Abstract
This chapter looks at the analog to digital conversion (ADC) capability of the MSP430. ADCs allow embedded computers to convert analog voltages into digital values so that they can be monitored in real-time and trigger responses. The MSP430FR2355 contains a 12-bit ADC core that can perform conversions on up to 16 user-selected inputs. This chapter gives an overview of the ADC peripheral on the MSP430FR2355 and how to design a program in C to use it.
