Abstract
Patty Garcia served as a Minister of Health of Peru from July 2016 to September 2017. She was a Menschel Senior Leadership Fellow at the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health during the Fall 2018 academic term, and she was recently appointed as a member of the United States’ National Academy of Medicine, the first Peruvian to earn such a distinction. Dr. Garcia also served as the Dean at the School of Public Health at Cayetano Heredia University in Lima, Peru, from 2011 to 2016, and where she continues to serve as Research Professor.
