Abstract
The research about the water footprint of construction products can promote green production in the field of construction, but there is currently a lack of water footprint calculation models to provide a basis for the green development of the construction industry. Based on the basic connotation of water footprint, this paper structures a conceptual framework of the water footprint for construction products following with life cycle and production process-flow, and then establishes a water footprint calculation model including two sub-models-blue water footprint and grey water footprint independently, which integrates on-site construction and material supply chain. Finally, for an application example, based on the collection of material water footprint data in the construction industry, the sensitivity factors are analyzed and discussed. The results of the calculation model show that the water footprint is mainly related to grey water footprint, and the research content of the thesis provides a quantitative basis for water footprint management of construction products firstly.
