Abstract

Radiopharmaceuticals when prepared properly can provide key information in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. It is essential that the correct testing be performed to ensure not only safety but efficacy of the study. This chapter provides an overview of the criteria that must be evaluated when confirming a radiopharmaceutical meets the appropriate standards. While this chapter is not an all-inclusive for quality control analysis, it provides the reader an insight to the rationale and process for quality control and quality assurance testing.
