Abstract
This paper points out that if we develop low technologies which enable people to design and produce their own goods, it will not only reduces large amount of energy consumption and contribute to satisfying SDGs (Sustainable Development Goals), but it will also provide people with the psychological joy of self-actualization and self-determination. A shift in industrial framework in this direction can solve many imminent issues such as aging society, diminishing number of children, shrinking workforce, etc. Therefore, we should develop local production for local consumption society or self-sustaining society.
