Abstract
Suicide is the second cause of death in the world in people aged 15 to 29 years. Depression is a psychological disorder that affects more than 300 million people worldwide. This disorder is caused by different factors, whether biological, psychosocial, personality, or genetic. It is characterized by having a low state of mind, loss of interest, feelings of guilt, restlessness, sleep disturbances, decreased appetite, accompanied by feelings of sadness, which physically and mentally affects the way of feeling and thinking, arriving in extreme cases to cases of suicides or attempts of him. Nowadays, there are several types of depression, such as major depression, dysthymia, adaptive disorder, depressive episode, recurrent depressive disorder, bipolar depression, psychotic depression, atypical depression, seasonal affective disorder, each one has its own characteristics, as well as symptomatology.
