Abstract
The first ideas of modern probability came (around the XVII century) from gambling, and we too will start from there. The simplest example is that of a flipped coin with two possible outcomes: head (H) and tail (T). When we say that the coin is fair we just mean that there is no reason to surmise a bias in favor of one of these two results.
