Abstract
The FertiPROTEKT network was founded in 2006 and coordinates the fertility-preservation activities of physicians and embryologists in 143 centres in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. In 2015, FertiPROTEKT became a society. Centres that would like to become members of the FertiPROTEKT network must prove with their application that they not only advise on fertility protection, but that they can also implement all fertility-protective methods themselves or in established co-operations. One of the key elements of FertiPROTEKT is centralized cryobanks for ovarian tissue. Special achievements of FertiPROTEKT are the introduction of luteal phase stimulation, the combination of hemiovariectomy to freeze tissues and ovarian stimulation to freeze oocytes, the introduction of a central registry and the preparation of practical recommendations.
