Over the last hundred years, the question of how life came into being has developed into ideas that encompass a wide variety of environments. At the same time, the first scientific experiments began to detect the formation of organic molecules. The best known is the experiment by Urey and Miller, who obtained corresponding molecules from suspected components of the early atmosphere with the help of lightning discharges. In addition to an iron-sulfur world, which was heavily discussed after the discovery of black smokers and white smokers, the model for pools that cyclically dry up has received increasing attention in recent years. But the formation of organic molecules and life in space has also played a role in the discussion from the start.
