Abstract

Atrial tachycardias may present as paroxysmal or incessant rhythms at rates >100 beats/minute. They are far less common than other forms of SVTs. In this chapter the author discusses several aspects of atrial tachycardia including mechanisms, pathophysiology, clinical manifestations, differentiation from other forms of SVT, and specific types of atrial tachycardia with special reference to ablative therapy.
