Abstract

Chiari malformation has been described as a clinical entity more than a hundred years ago, but the discussions regarding pathogenesis and management from decompression to fixation still continue. In this chapter, past and newer classifications of the Chiari malformations and related topics regarding the disease, including diagnosis and treatment, are given in detail.
