Abstract
You have made it! The first day of class has arrived, and you have been thinking and planning for this day for quite some time. You have read the book, and the syllabus is complete. Now it’s time to step up to the podium and say your first words to the class. You are probably feeling a bit nervous.
This chapter will discuss everything that you need for the first day. What you should share that day, as well as the tone that you should use, will be discussed. The first day in many ways is the most important because you set all the ground rules for the class. With that in mind, let’s get started!
