Abstract
Uncertainty is divided into probability and risk—related to “known unknowns” and “unknown unknowns” made famous by the US secretary of defence Donald Rumsfeld. Probability distributions are introduced, as well as scenarios, weighted by their probabilities. The chapter concludes with an exploration of statistics.
