Abstract
The sine qua non of corrective or cosmetic orbital and eyelid surgery is the exquisite and requisite knowledge of the anatomical structures contained in this relatively confined space. A study of the osteology of the orbit and its relationship to the surrounding cranial bone structures is correlated with the topographic anatomy and then the contents of the orbit, finally addressing the structures of the lids and periorbital area.
