Abstract
On April 16th, 1990, Jayme Tiomno celebrated his 70th birthday. Among the accolades offered to him by his colleagues were a session in his honor at the annual meeting of the Brazilian Physical Society (SBF) in Caxambu/MG, September 26–30, 1990, and an International Symposium dedicated to his birthday, held at the CBPF on November 8–9, 1990.
